topic Archicad/Illustrator/AutoCad in Modeling

<T>I have a jpg of some map data that I need to put into AutoCad in order for the 2D profile to be milled on the base board through the CNC process.

I'm wondering if like in Illustrator where a jpg can be instantly converted to vector based graphics, I can take the jpg into Archicad and then save it as an Autocad file. I could take the jpg into autocad and trace it manually but I thought I had heard mention that Archicad can function similarly to Illustrator in this manner.

Any help much appreciated. Many thanks.</T>

You cannot do this in AC. Why don't you use AI and export to Autocad?

I have done this before but completely forgotten how I got the Carto map data from coloured outlines to black and white lines. If anyone knows the process in Illustrator it'd be good to remind myself how I did (very very simple I'm sure!).
