Just to add to Karl's advice here, a quick way of selecting only 2D info using Find & Select is to remove all choices and just select 2D Types from the drop down.

<T>Can a section drawing and its attributes, attributes meaning any extra information in the section drawing window be transferred, copy and pasted or... into a more recently saved version of the same drawing file?

I ask because accidently erased the section marker in plan, but have saved this same drawing the day before, but since then have done other work on the file and resaved, but still have that older drawing. Is there anyway to bring the section marker and drawing attributes into the resaved drawing?</T>

You can open two copies of AC, with the old and new files and copy/paste the section marker from the old file into the new. That will give you the same section cut with the same marker settings...as a viewpoint. You'll have to redefine any views based on this section manually (and then re-link any placed drawings to the newly (re)created views.)

As to the extra annotation within the section, open the section in the old file and turn off all except your annotation layers, select all/copy/paste to new.

If you added new information into model layers, so that you cannot use layer control to make the selection quick and easy, then you'll have to use Find & Select (etc) to select the 2D elements that were added to the section and then copy/paste.
