Well it is AC v.10
Windows

I got it to print- I put it on the title block directly, as opposed to placing it in the layout on a layer and printing, or then putting on title block in layout and printing.

AND- I think my problem may have been that it was a PDF?
Does that seem like it would be a problem?
Thanks.

<T>Hi Guys:

I have placed a scanned image in my floor plan and I want it to print, but it is not.
I dragged it in, it did not print and I brought it in as an external drawing fil and it did not work....
Any Ideas?
Thanks
Did you place it on a layout? Or are you trying to print from the plan window?

Thanks.

The ability to place PDF files is a new feature, so that may be the problem. If so it should be reported as a bug (easiest way is to launch the Bug Reporter that is in the ArchiCAD folder).

In general I would not use PDF format for straight bitmap images (such as a scan) JPEG and TIFF are simpler formats with a longer history and thus likely to have more predictable behavior.

I have had a similar but different problem with plotmaker 9. I have had good luck placing png images of my engineering sketch details in plotmaker rather than jpg. They appear wonderfully in my pdf files and print nicely on my DesignJet. However on occasion when sending pdf files to a print service for printing, the png images drop off. Recently had a project in for permit review and the plans examiner was wondering where the shear wall schedule was. In opening my pdf of the permit set the schedule was on several sheets but dropped off when printing. never found out from the Print service why.

Over the years I have also seen sporadic problems with embedded bitmaps, but not lately. I had hoped they were a thing of the past

So- Further more, The whole thing ended up being a PITA.
I was able to print to a printer my layouts with images on them.
I was not able to print to a PDF ever, after all.
How ever- I just went and checked a Publisher set I made, with teh PDF formating, and tah-dah- the images are there.
I do NOT understand. But, for anyone else that is having tis probalem, this is one way around it.
Publish to a PDF instead.
Hi All,

Have tried changing DPI output for your PDFs... i.e test at 150/300dpi, as I know there is an underlying issue here...
Also, try setting the plotter resolution lower accordingly..

Hope this can help in some way..

Thanks
