<T>I am new to archicad and have a very simple question... I am getting ready to submit my drawings for planning and need to change the way they are displayed in my model. I would like to change them to be black and white without any hatching. How do I do this???
Thanks!!!!</T>

Hi,

I'm assuming you have Views placed into Layouts ( with the Drawings tool).

This is what you need to do ( but not the only way of doing it):

1) Change your drawings to Black & White (see #1 on the image)

Right click the drawings on the layout
Choose "Drawing Selection Settings"--- a window appears---
Choose the Properties drop down
Change the Colors setting to Black & White

2) Change the drawings to "No Fills" ( See #2 and #3 on the image)

Right click the drawings on the layout
Choose "Modify source View settings" --- a window appears---
Choose the General drop down
look for Model View Option, and choose a previously saved one with out fills... aha!, don't have one?

3) Create a "No Fills" Model View Option

go to the Menu, Document / Set Model View / Model View Options -- a window appears---
Choose the Override Fill Display drop down
Change all to "No fill" option as in the image.
Go to the upper part of the window and save this woth the "Store as" option.
Repeat Step 2.

Hope this helps

There are other ways to do that, you can also look for Creating new PenSets, and the generals of View settings,

Check out www.archicadwiki.com
