Thanks for the 2 suggestions folks. I kind of got the impression that it couldn't be done using the "wall" tool so that makes it obvious that it would be easiest to use the morph tool (too bad as the dividers are walls). Unfortunately for me I can create a ramp and needed accessories much faster with my 3D modeling software but currently Archicad does not have the ability to import solid models. Again appreciate the replies and I will get to morphing my ramps.

<T>Hello: In my current design my building has some parking ramps that need to have a 3 foot wall down the middle of them (see attached pictures). Note that the black area is the ramp and the white is the wall. I have included both a perspective and a side view. Note that the ends of the wall are vertical with respect to the floor and not the surface of the ramp. While creating the ramp is easy adding the center wall seems impossible when using the "wall" tool. All suggestions welcomed.

Regards.</T>

I use single plane roofs for ramps and the associated kerbs and up-stands.

Copy roof you are using for the ramp up so that it sits atop the ramp and then split / edit to form required shape and then change the thickness to the required height of the wall, kerbs etc

The other option is morphs!
Super easy for ramps!! Draw the extrusion at one of the reference levels,
then simply grab the end face with ctrl/cmd+shift and drag it up or down to
the needed level.
You can even create decent curved ramps with the morph.

DrWho wrote:
… but currently Archicad does not have the ability to import solid models…

FWIW, AC can import STL, 3DS, OBJ, DWG, DXF all as solid models and as far as I know all solid modelers will have one of those options as export. SO if it is easier to do it in another program then do it there, import into AC and then convert to Morph if necessary to verify solidity and save to object again.

Also.

Check if this helps. I would draw the street section as a custom profile for the Beam and I would split the beam at different known elevations.
Thanks ejrolon. I was unaware of the .stl file import capabilities. I questioned the ability to import solid models about a year ago but I was thinking more along the lines of .stp (STEP) files which are commonly used in mechanical cad programs with "solid" modeling capabilities like Solidworks, Catia, etc. My software can create .stl files so I will give that a go and see how it works out.
