topic possible to hide wall composite layers? in Modeling

<T>i have a 2x6 siding wall showing all of the composite layers. I want one showing only the stud layer.

instead of making a new wall with only the stud layer, can i simply hide or turn off (not delete) everything i don't need?

thanks once again!</T>

i believe i may have found a way.

Model view options?

this looks like it will work, but are there any pit falls that i should be aware of else where in documentation or modeling?

thanks.

Not an MVO ... you want to look at Partial Structure Display (PSD) ... set your view to 'core only', assuming you have identified the stud skin as 'core' and all other skins as one of the non-core options in the composite editing dialog.

The PSD setting, like MVO, layer combo, etc, is saved as part of a saved View.

Cheers,
