I guess the logic is that when 'Show projection' for the wall is set to "To absolute display limit" then you are asking for the entire wall to be shown from the particular storey you are on down to the base of the wall and therefore all the openings in that range of wall should show as well.
But the openings should be able to be controlled independently to the wall so if you only want them to shaow on the storey they relate to then that should be possible.

When the windows are set to "Projected with overhead" then they seem to work above as expected - but I would rather see them as "Symbolic".

The odd thing is if the wall is set to "Entire Element" - which means from the base to the top - then you would expect it to do the same thing and show all the openings all of the time.

I say its a bug - fortunately not one I have run into before.

<T>In AC16 doors and windows show on every story when placed on multistory walls.

The bug appears in 'Symbolic' Floor Plan Display only, but this is crucial for the doors and windows as only this display option shows the door opening symbol. In this situation the multistory walls practically cannot be used in AC16.

I have installed the latest updates both to AC and the library.</T>

You should only see the door or window if it passes through (or into) the storey.
If it is completely above or below the storey and it is set to symbolic then it shouldn't be seen.
Yes, Barry, it shouldn't, but it still does!
I have reported it to GS and will wait for their explanation.

I have received an explanation from GS. The problem occurs when the 'Show projection' for the wall is set to "To absolute display limit" - in this case the windows, inserted in the wall, show on all the stoeys. Weird, anyway - when would you need to view the windows in this fashion?
