Slab desting walls?

<T>Working on a bit of a minor design of stacked circular floors for my high-rise project in school. I had created a circular slab of the dimensions I needed, and has it assigned the information I needed (Materials, types, orientation, ect). I then used the wand to create walls around its border - everythign went smooth. When I started drawing walls inside however, the slab vanished. It no longer shows up in any view, nor can I find a way to select it. This is my first serious go at the software since going through the tutorials, and I'm just not sure what happened. When I try to re-draw a slab, it just dosen't want to connect and seems to do anythign to advoid being placed where the old one was. Any help you can offer on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thankee,
