Or make the upper and lower wall a single complex profile wall.
Then you won't need the empty opening.

<T>Hi,

I am hoping there is a quick answer to this problem. I have one window on a stair which is built across 2 types of wall. It only cuts a hole in one of the walls. Is there a simple way to get it to cut both walls without resorting to SEO?

Cheers
Matt:

Add an Empty Window to the lower wall to create the hole in this wall for the window above.
