Wall Cleanup

A picture says a million words - so please see attached image that shows my specific request for wall clean up.

There are two wall composites lined up due to the different block concrete thickness and that offsets the exterior brick veneer. What I am looking for is there a way for the brick veneer fill to "clean up" and turn the corner instead of looking like it shifts? Or at least a way to have the separator lines clean up between the block concrete and masonry veneer?

I'm thinking the answer is "no" but wanted to see if I could be corrected...

A workaround is to make another transitional composite that has a thicker brick veneer on the thinner block.

In the example I have inserted three bits to make returns for the brick, air space and insulation. The separation lines won't show up of their own accord. The only way I can think of to get them would be to tweak the fill patterns to match the skins, but this would be rather fussy work.

Here's another way using a profiled column...

The joints are set to a white pen of zero thickness. This will show as one pixel on screen but will print at the finest resolution of the printer and so should pretty much disappear unless you are using an old plotter.

Thats a good solution....

It's the edges of the column where they meet the walls that are set to the thin white pen in the profile editor.

Just wanted to thank all posters for their responses.

I've been monitoring this thread and it appears the best all around solution (2D and 3D representation) is the column complex profile. We will go as far as naming the column complex profile using the grid lines; i.e. Column A3. Just gotta remember to rename the column CP whenever the grid changes.
