<T>I am working with someone who uses version 9 and I would like to generate files that they can use as well. I could install version 9 again but I would rather install the newest version that can make files compatible with version 9. 10 for example, I would think can save a file as 9. How about 11 ?</T>

Only 10 can save back to 9:
http://www.archicadwiki.com/ArchiCAD%20versions

I know you're on Windows, but Mac users note that the Intel version of AC 10 can NOT save back to 9; only the PPC version can.
