What do u mean by "lock"? Lock the layer? Sure! But still it's selectable.
I only don't want it to be selectable when "quick selection tool" (magnet shaped icon) is activated. Else, it becomes a hindrance any time I try to select any other object superposed.

For those who ever used Autocad, it would be smth like deactivating the picture frame.

Thanks,
Block reference bitmaps?

<T>Is there any way to put a bitmap, to draw on it as a reference, not being able, not only to edit (which could be easily done by blocking the appropriate layer) its properties, but not being able to select it neither? (Same way reference drawings are shown). Is very upsetting having to roll object over object and having to pan the scene to be able to see what is under the bitmap to draw on it! Still, changing order of object shouldnt be enough.

Thanks,
Fuintur:

I am not positive about your issue, but when placing Figures for reference I will do 2 things:
1. Check the Transparent option in the Figure dialog box.
2. Lock the Figure after getting it to the correct size and placement.

You should add a Signature to your Profile (click the Profile button near the top of this page) with your ArchiCAD version and operating system (see mine for an example) for more accurate help in this forum.
Fuintur,

You just have to:
1. Send the image/bitmap to background
2. Put it in a locked layer.

If you don't know how to do this, just open the ArchiCAD Reference Manual. This process (and much more) is well detailed in there.
