topic measurements in Modeling

measurements

hi everyone,
i have problem with measurments, when i measure an object the result is ???? (question marks and not numbers!!) strange, isn't it?
I changed the units from meters to centimeters and i played with the units settings, but it is not working!!!

any ideas?

mostly its the regional settings for windows ... if the numbers are "hindi"-by mistake referred to as "arabic" ..this might happen . I've seen it before if I remember well ... if you are on Mac .. try to put English as first language ... if you are on windows try to set the country to another .

thank you for your reply
am using mac not windows..
and it works by changing the first language
in the system preferences the Arabic was the first language,
i change it to English..
