Renovation Filter - old project file for new project

I have already completed a project using the renovation filter. Is there a way to convert the project so the 'new' becomes existing so i can easily use this project file for the new works?

Not project-wide but you can set up a Reno Filter that only displays things that are currently "New", select and change to "Existing"

or

Use Find and Select to select all items with "New" Renovation Status, change to "existing".

Not in 16 unless you do as Stuart suggested.
But you can in 17.
