how do i create horizontal and vertical reveals on straight and curved walls in archicad iam using archicad 9.0

Depending on how complex the job, you can create reveals using Solid Element Operations or you can go to a site like Objects on Line ) http://www.objectsonline.com/customer/home.php ) and buy any one of a number of relatively inexpensive tools for creating reveals.

there are also some standard wall accessories that include niches and the like . . .

use your window tool and navigate through the library to:
1.4 Building Structures 9/Wall Extras 9

or if you want mouldings:
1. select the wall
2. Extras>Accessories>Wall Accessories...
3. choose 'Mouldings and Panels'

Like grooves in plaster or something like that?

IF the wall accessories don't do it, try drawing them with lines on your elevation, select all those lines, start TrussMaker from the Extras menu, and use SEO to subtract the truss from your walls.

Not so easy on the curved ones ... you will probably have to do it by subtracting the columns for the verticals and beams or slabs for the horizontals.

Posting a screenshot or an example (pic of an existing building) of what are you trying to do would help!
