<T>Hello, I am a very new user of AC START 2012 and can not have three walls joined without a vertical separation line between two of them. The first two walls form a corner and the third, of different height and thickness, starts from the corner and extends one of the higher walls. This last joint is always separated by line. Have similar problem when beam starts in corner of two walls. Wall/beam finishes are same. Am I missing something? Please help.</T>

Joining walls can be a bit complex. A screen shot would help understand your specific issue.

Okay, to make it simple I made a small example. Shall I make a screen shot of plan view also?

Welcome to ArchiCAD

You will get used to frustrating workaround for basic drafting bugs in the software such as this soon enough. This particular bug has been around so long I think it now has been listed as a heritage item (i.e never to be removed)

cheers,
