Lisa, no need to begin from scratch.
Use the Attribute Manager to bring in the new fills to your working template.
This I do with each upgrade. Glad you got it sorted.
And you can do similar with your Work Environment to bring in new tools etc
that come with new upgrades.

<T>Hi All,
I want to start using the intelligent insulation in 13 except that I cant get started. I have 2 basic question if anyone can help.

1, I cant seem to find the symbolic fill for the soft insulation fill. Is it hiding somewhere, do I need to load it into the library?

2 How do I get the cut 3d image showing the composition of the walls?
I want to prepare a cut image of a buildings structure. When I try and do a cut with the cut tool in 3d settings , I dont get the internal componants.

What am I dong wrong??

merci

Lisa</T>

Lisa, check to see you have selected it in the Fill Types.
And also be sure you set your composite correctly. HTH

Thank you Rod, I started up a new project using the default archi13 template and voila, I have a load of fills that are not present in the project template I created myself back in 12.

My bad, I forgot the rule about being careful in using project templates created in older versions opened in new versions of archicad,
I guess I need to recreate my project template, starting from the archicad 13 default setup to take advantage of the new content.

thank you for your input
