<R>I can't get Spell Checker to work in AC13.

I opened spell checker via:
Document> Spell Checker> Open Spell Checker

It opened the spell checker window and then immediately opened a window to select an application. If I clicked cancel I got a "Cannot initialize Word Services!" message.

Archicad Help had me thinking I needed to select WORD to use it's Dictionary.

Now (after selecting WORD) ...... if I open Spell Checker... it launches WORD and doesn't check my AC file.

Not sure if its related but it worked fine before updating to Build 3600 </R>

ArchiCAD on the Mac uses the built-in system spell checker by default. I haven't had any problems with it that I can recall.

I believe it is possible to use the MS Word dictionary instead. By attempting to enable it you have probably disabled the system service. I'm not sure why it isn't working with your Word install. The best thing would be to figure out how to revert to the built-in MacOS spell checker.

The help I received from GS...was to uninstall and reinstall Archicad and reapply the hotfix (Advice I never followed, as It begun working on it's own).
Hope that helps.
