Peter wrote:
I have a spiral staircast made from slabs and I need to support it on a steel spiral How do I create a piece of steel taht is a curved spiral

Try OBJECTiVE. All the steel components bundled with it can be transformed to a spiral curve, and you can add your own profiles too. Using a steel angle as an example (and referring to the attached image):

1. Place the steel object spanning from the start of the stair to the end, and use OBJECTiVE's Bend tool <S></S>OBJECTiVE > Tools > Bend<E></E> to bend it to the radius of the stair.

2. Then set the overall rise for the steel, either directly in the object's settings or by using OBJECTiVE's offset tool in elevation.

3. With 2 such objects placed, it should look like this in 3D.

4. A more developed example of a stair constructed using these tools
