<T>Hello, i'm having a (huge!) problem with inclined walls in my project, and i was hoping someone could help me.
When i create an inclined wall, and i'm using a xref, the walls only show up in the 3D windows, and it happens something weird like it's showed in the picture.
If i create a new project file and i just create the inclined walls, everything seems to work fine.
Is this some kind of bug, or am i doing something wrong?

Best regards and thanks in advance.</T>

Hi GM,

What do you mean by "using an xref"? Can you give more detail?

The graphical glitches I can see look a little like the effects of this problem - <S></S>http://www.archicadwiki.com/Bugs/Model%20cut%20in%203D<E></E>

(Just to note as well, it is useful to put your ArchiCAD version in your signature as this can help people answer any questions more accurately.)

Hope the above helps!

Hello, i use an autocad file as xref in a worksheet so i can use it as a referente to build the project.
I'm using Archicad 13 (educational).
But it seems the problem is related with that bug, i'll try to solve it.

Thank you very much for your help
Best regards.

GM,

Did you try to clean up the wall intersections?

See image below. Right is before clean up, left after.
GM,
Wall intersection clean up can be "fooled".
1) make sure there is not another wall below or above it, not always obvious, it might be a wall that is taller than the story it is located on and therefore is in conflict with walls on desired level.
2) Is your Xref linework only? Is it real object data? If real object data then it could be interfering with the wall clean up. Move the xref data out of the active working area, or detach it once you have what you need.
3) Check layers that are turned off, they still are "active" as far as wall intersections are concerned (crazy but true).
4) Check for partial height walls that are not displayed due your Floor Plan Cut Plane settings.
5)OR, try temporarily relocating your inclined walls to a spot, say 100 feet to the left, try the command again, if it works - you have proof of a conflicting object in the original location.
6) Do you have a module file on hidden layers?
7) Look into wall priorities - it can help by forcing the inclined walls to below to a priority set that no other wall belongs to.
HTH
