i need help :(

hi
i'm not good with English but i'll try to explain my problem

i need to make small town with archicad 13
but the building has different story level
i build every building separate file
build1.pln
build2.pln
build3.pln
and every build have different height story and have gsm make it by myself

i need to make all of files in one project have one story
to make 3D view

i try to export every build to object and choose 'non-editable binary 3D data'

but when i import it i get message "Curved flag set for body without any curved"

and when i choose "Editable GDL Script" it dosent show the GSM i have make it in mind build

i hope u r understanding my problem

and plz make the answer is simple

You should save each building as a module file (.mod). Then place each module in the site file. You may have to cut a section to adjust the vertical placement of each module relative to the site.

Once each module is placed, changes to any of the buildings will be reflected in the site model after you update the hotlinks.

There has been a lot of discussion about this topic. You may need to save each story of each building as a separate .mod (module) and adjust this in the section of the site file so they align correctly. Once the modules are placed correctly in plan and vertically, you will not have to do these steps again. When updating the modules each will retain their position.

If this is a one off, then you could save each building as a library part and then place them in the site file as library parts. Not recommended way, but useful to know.

The save as library part method has its advantages but is harder to redo when things change. You might be able to get rid of the errors by simplifying the models - you presumably only need the exteriors. Or you can find the troublesome part by saving only half the building, and then only half of the half and so on until you've isolated the problem (this is also known as a binary search).

To use the module method you will have to save the building by stories unless all the buildings have the same floor to floor heights for all stories.

If the story heights are all the same you can link each PLN directly and then adjust the height to grade after linking them into the site file. The site file will also have to have matching story heights for the initial placement. An advantage of this is that updates are nearly automatic.

For the floor by floor method I recommend using the Publisher. You can set up the floor plan with the layers you want on for the export and then create views of these stories (in Navigator/View Editor) based on these settings. You then create a publisher set from these views with the output set to save module files. This is a little extra set up (not much really) but will make it really easy to update the modules whenever necessary.

With the story by story method you don't need any special story settings in the site model. You could even stack all the modules on the same story but they will look a bit messy in plan when they are all on. Once the story modules are placed you can drag them up or down to their correct locations either in 3D or as Erika suggests in a section or elevation view. When you need to update you can just republish the modules and then update the links. The quickest way to do the update is to just do an ordinary save of the site model and it will alert you that some of the hotlinks have changed and offer to update them for you.
