    <description>The hole that the skylight is cutting in the roof shows not perpendicular to the roof edges contrary to the rest of you drawing. This is a common problem with lower slope roofs. &lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
Select the roof and with your mercedes cursor on an edge of the skylight hole. &lt;BR /&gt;
Click and select the top right button of the pet pallet "set roof edge angle" and change it to the angle you want. Use the 'apply on all edges' if appropriate.&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
This may or may not solve your gray blob setting.</description>

      <description>&lt;DIV class="actalk-migrated-content"&gt;&lt;T&gt;i have a section cut through a rooflight, and archicad is making the background of the hole in the roof dark grey&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
there doesnt seem to be any settings in the properties to change this background colour&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
i have done it before in archicad and this didnt happen&lt;/T&gt;&lt;/DIV&gt;</description>

Not sure if this is what you're after but you could try Section Selection Settings - Model Display - try changing the 'Fill uncut surfaces with' to 'own material colours - non shaded'.&lt;BR /&gt;

      <description>i already had it set to "nothing" because the colour of the material of the edge of this roof is dark grey&lt;BR /&gt;
&lt;BR /&gt;
i dont want it to show as a colour on the sections. this seems to be a bug in archicad?</description>
