works for me . . .'Ctrl + Alt + 5' (or 6). i use it quite regularly. you need to ensure that your WE keyboard shortcut scheme has that assigned . . . if you're not using the default scheme it may well have been deactivated . . .
Yes, I was affraid that the reason was my custom-made WE setup. I have also noticed that if you using that you cannot activate special menu. When you switch to 'expert' everything works fine. Too bad.

i think that you're seeing the work environment as too rigid a framework. everything that you've talked about can be achieved easily - you just need to make sure that you're using the correct schemes as a base and modifying them to suit your purpose.

as for the special menu: if you search this forum, you'll find several discussions that talk through how to enable it, and how it ties in to the work environment.

take some time to read the manual and understand how the WE works. you'll be able to see up just what you need . . .
Hi Ben. First of all thanks for your concern. Right after I send last post I went into WE settings once more and found it using 'alphabetical order' and assign desired shortcut. It was pretty obvious, I guess I shout for help too soon
Now the 'special menu'. I went thru registry edit and unblock it like I use to do it in 6.5. When use 'expert profile' in AC everything works fine but when I switch to my custom-made profile than 'special menu' simply dissapear from menus bar. It is not even on the menus list in WE window like on the pic you have attached in some topic I've read. I've bulit my profile basing on 'expert' so I think it should work but it doesn't. Manual explain only how things works but I think it will not give me an answer in this particular case, so if you will be so kind and past me a link where I can find solution I would be very grateful. Thanks for your time.

this is due to the nature of the special menu - it is really a place for half developed or extremely advanced features that <S></S>can cause potential crashes or damage to the files - use with caution!<E></E>

so if you will be so kind and past me a link where I can find solution I would be very grateful. Thanks for your time.

sure:
<LINK_TEXT text="http://archicad-talk.graphisoft.com/vie ... menu#41540">http://archicad-talk.graphisoft.com/viewtopic.php?p=41540&highlight=special+menu#41540</LINK_TEXT>
and:
<LINK_TEXT text="http://archicad-talk.graphisoft.com/vie ... &&start=10">http://archicad-talk.graphisoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=474&postdays=0&postorder=asc&&start=10</LINK_TEXT>

once you've enabled it, you also need to activate it in your WE profile . . . it's a two-step process these days . . .

HTH, but use with caution!
