Conrado:

You have 2 avenues to explore:
1. Add a parameter(s) to the objects(s) that can turn on this information in the 2D view, then edit the 2D Script to display text (Text2 command) with this information. With additional work, turning this text on and off could be linked to a Model View Option.
2. Create a Label that displays the information of the object it refers to. The labels then can be placed on a layer to control the information's display. This would also work for non-object elements like Beams and Columns if they are used for the structure (rather than objects).

<T>Hello,
I just finished a fairly complex ductwork layout and output the results to a (PDF) transparency.
The print is quite useless in that does not include any quick, verifyable information of any given ductwork section or structural member.
Ultimately, I would like to:
a) draw some ductwork, piping, etc.
b) create a 2D view where some of the ductwork attributes show up in text form, such as size, height from floor, beam size. etc
c) print the view.
Is GDL a possible avenue to explore ?</T>
