GS, I was able to download the update just fine. The update suggests downloading the latest library seperately. Everytime I try to download the Mac version, the download stops at 14.8 megs according to the download manager in Safari.

GS, is there a problem with the library or downloading the Mac version with Safari?

I thought these downloads are the International version and not the USA version. I tried the Int version on USA already installed R1/V1 which failed.

Currently only the INT version is available, which will not work with the US version. The US version should be out soon.

I think the MAC version of the new INT library downloads fine. The US library which had the problem was an outdated AC 8 version, so we removed it now. The new US library will be available along with the patch. Other language versions will be made available continuously, but it will take several weeks till they are all there.

Apparently there is some ambiguity in how it's displayed on www.graphisoft.com

The correct site shows (dated March 25) with US version (and INT) available.

There is another (missing US) page that somehow shows up instead (dated March 24) and only shows INT version.

I have just installed AC81-R2-2256-USA. Does that take care of all the previous problems, or is it necessary to ALSO install AC81-R1-1410-USA?

is the latest Build for the Windows version of AC 8.1 (no other Updaters after are needed).

1410 was the old updater (which is updated by AC81-R2-2256-USA).

I installed r2 yesterday, both parts, and had some severe problems with how it generated building elevations. I sent a file to Jeffry at tech support.In addition to some of the exterior walls not showing, every elevation had its own unique feature. One distorted a custom library part making it huge and about 100 feet from the original plan location, but showed it correctly in other elevations, another had not only the miserable south elvation but a fit in window shoed a bonus north/south building section perpendicular to it about 2000 feet above!
Go figure.

I was able to reopen that file successfully after reinstalling 8.1r1+ but do archive before playing.

The new Mac version of V2/R2 is on the http://tr.graphisoftus.com/ site. I could down load the 1 of 2 (30.7 MB) but 2 of 2 (79.9 MB) links to an unknown location?!

looks like 2256 us for windows & mac has been pulled from the tr gs us site. maybe a fixed version will appear soon. why is there no message
but, there is a 2256 build on the updates page w/ todays date, and link to same libraries..

I had the same thing happen then when I went back to the site everything had been pulled, Mac and Windows alike. Appears a little more work is needed on these.

duh, i usually save a copy of current ac.exe build before i do the upgrade. guess i better get back in that habit!
the updater posted will not reupdate 2256, guess its total reinstall time.
grant noel did get back up and running w/ a total deinstall/gs cleaner/reinstall/update. i may wait till we hear SOMETHING from gs.

Check the tr site now. Apparently the Mac problem had to do with crashing when trying to post files to an ftp site. A second patch to correct this is available along with the application and library installers.
