if i place chairs in the floor plan randomly, it is easy to align them linearly, but how can i align and distribute them in an arc and face to the same centre?

Place a chair facing where you want the center of the array to be.

select the chair

Multiply the chair using the criterion "rotate"

Click the the center of the array and drag in a circle. The chair copies will follow. You can also constrain the copies to make a complete circle without actually dragging around - the default.

You will notice that there is a "distribute -1" option. Use that to avoid making an overlapping extra chair.
