Cutting slits out of a wall.

Hello,

I have this wall that I want to place angular slits on.

How do I cut these slits out?

The quick way is the Solid Element Operator:
See reference material for detail:

Basic: place a slab shape into the wall and subtract it from the wall.

Dwight,
I gave your advice a try. I followed the directions to the best of my ability, but when I hit the subtraction function the operator is still there within the target.
I tried the other functions and those work fine. Subtracting is just not working for me.
Any ideas?

place operator on wireframe layer:

make special new layer - see oblique box icon in layer list dialog - click to make wireframe - objects on this layer become clear.
