topic Door Casing - Header Casing in Modeling

<T>Hello everyone -

I have done some searching and can't come up with a solid answer for this problem. We are working in AC 16 on a mac based platform. Our doors do this weird thing where the casing over the header goes up on one side, while going down on the opposite side.

The doors are designed to have a larger casing above to accentuate their openings. We picked 3 1/2" trim around the sides and a large 7 1/2" trim at the top.

One side of the door shows correctly, while the other side moves the casework down and blocks the door opening. Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

See attached screen shot. I highlighted the door so you can see both sides.

Thanks.</T>

It should not be able to do that at all so I suspect it's a bug in the door part (or macro/subroutine) unless you have somehow input a negative value for the reveal on the wonky casing (but that's probably not even possible).

Matthew, yes it is a strange thing indeed. I've even tried both positive and negative numbers to see if it would flip the direction of the casework. No luck so far...
