Welcome to the forum!

First thing... Go to your profile section here on the forum and create a signature with your AC version and hardware specs... it will help us help you.

About your question... Two magic words... "Complex Profile".

If you have AC12, Open your ArchiCAD 12 Reference Manual and do a search for "Complex Profile"... You will see your life will become a lot more easy.

You can do it with the roof tool, too ... check Vaulted roof.

Before you start, set the Magic wand settings to 36 segments per arch, Best fit.

Complex profile would probably be best for this shape, though, as it turns on itself in the bottom.
