I need a slap (or what ever plane) to be \ instead of _ but I can't figure out how.

Inclined builidng element is a roof or a wall. Slabs are horizontal only.

The only way I think this can be done is in GDL.

You could try OBJECTiVE - it won't rotate a slab, although it can create a rotatable object from your slab (or whatever plane). Take a look at the examples at http://www.encina.co.uk/objective.html
