Complex profile wall connections

I have 2 complex walls that im joining and they aren't joining properly.
I have a 24o brick veneer wall and a fascia, gutter and eave wall.
it worked if i brought the eave wall off the brick veneer wall by 5mm. I have played around with the wall priorities but didnt seem to work
i have shown some pics of whats happening below. the one on the right is the one thats no connecting. The one on the left is where i have left 5mm between the eave complex profile and the brick veneer complex profile.
I hope this makes sense.

I'm going to take a wild guess that maybe you want to check the box in composites that controls joining by core, which is also for C.P's?
Just saw something on forum relating to that I believe?
Sorry can't remember where at the moment.
update;
Just checked composites and don't see what I thought I remembered.
Maybe someone else will come along shortly and straighten this out.

It could also be that in the Layer Settings box they have the same intersection group number. When the reference lines of both the wall and your trim are touching then you get clean up problems as you show.

No that was about priorities and skins which I did not think was the problem he is having, (but I could easily be wrong about that), maybe something else?
I thought there is a switch somewhere that asks if you want to JOIN based on skins or core???
Maybe I dreamed that up? I can't seem to find it.

Update;
However, I've noticed now that even when I have my core and skin priorities correct for my C.P.'s, (and enable skin priorities on) that when I bring another wall in to join at say a right angle, it joins correctly in 2d if I snap to skin.
However when I go to my structural plan, (where only the core is on) there is a gap (skin thickness) between the joining walls that looked correct in 2d with skins on. Then I have to manually finish that off.
If I try to snap to core it pushes on through and is not correct, which then kinda looks like what Kev was having issue with?
A switch for this might be what I saw somewhere?
Or was that wishful thinking (dreaming) on my part?

Is your gutter profile a complex wall?
If it is then Erika is probably correct as the walls of different types will try to join.

open the layer dialogue and change the layer intersection number for the gutters to 3 (or anything other than 1) then the gutter (wall) and the wall (wall) will not try to join.
Make sure you update your layer combinations accordingly
