You need to click on the surface, not on a node or segment.

1. Press Esc to cancel any command running
2. Click on the surface once to select the Morph
3. Click on the surface again to get the Pet Palette.

On another note, if you imported your W/E from another version of AC you might need to reset it to see the new commands but this is a longshot.

<T>Is it possible to extrude a 2d morph that is created in the plan view into a 3d morph in a 3d view?
Thanks.
Yes. But you have to switch to the 3D View first. 2D Morphs (lines and planes) show up in the 3D Window.

How is this accomplished? I can see the 2d morph in the 3d window. I can push and pull the face of a 3d morph in a 3d window, but I can't push or pull the face of the 2d morph in order to make it 3d: the entire morph moves. I tried all the modifier key combinations like command-shift, control-shift, etc.

Thanks

You need to use the "sub-select" arrow to select the face then click on it so you get the flyout.

The shortcut for the sub-select arrow is control+command+shift on Mac.

----
Or you can click twice on the surface to get the flyout.

That's exactly what I'm doing. With the hollow cursor I click on the face to select the face of the morph. The face is highlighted. I click again on the face and the pop-up that I see is the one that I posted above.

I just tried this with a 3d morph. One click selects the face of the 3d morph and the second click shows the same pop-up palette as above. The difference is that I can push and pull the face, even though the "wrong" palette is showing. I still don't see the pet palette that you posted above.

Do you think this is a bug or some hardware incompatibility?

OS 10.6 is not recommended for 17 though you can use it.

I would try doing a New and Reset to see if it shows the Palette. If it does then I would start checking my Work Environment to see if there is something missing there.

Hi Steve,

I think the reason why you didn't have the 'Extrude' option is that 'Hidden Morph Geometry' (at View -> On-Screen View Options menu) was turned ON maybe.
