<T>Hello everybody,

In Archicad 17, when all beams are visible in plan on all stories, why the same are not visible in 3D view ? ( Attachment ) while only First Floor Beams are visible in 3D.
I checked everything.
Beams are having normal standard Building Material and having default intersection ID.
All beams are placed on First Story & then copied to other stories.

Any Help?</T>

You have to LINK each Beam to the respective story!

As per my side , it is nothing to do with "Linking to story" as this is function is only available for Wall & Column.

As per screen shot, they are there but not visible, checked with 3D window settings & Elements to show in 3D.

Waiting for solution.
It could be because of the intersection priority of the Building Material applied to those beams, and something stronger (walls perhaps) have a higher priority and therefore cutting the beams.

Try turning on all layers, and check overlapping elements where the beams are. And then review each Building Material (select an element and open the Building Materials dialogue).

Thank you very much for all your valuable replies.

Actually problem was in Beam & Composite Wall dialog box, where Junction order was not same for Beam & Wall.

After doing the same , now Beams are visible in 3D.

Thanks & Regards,
Hello,

In continuation with the same topic, now I have created Composite wall, beam & slab.
Building Material priority set for respective elements are shown in attachment.

Why slab & beam plaster are not merged? while in case of waterproofing it happens automatically.
Is there anything separate system for priority for composite elements?

Regards,
Do the bodies of the Slab and the Beam intersect (collide) in 3D?
Are those Building Materials the same (it is not enough to have the same Intersection Priority Number, they must be the same BM).

Thank you laszlonagy,

Problem was in Legacy connection which is ON in my case.

Did you mean External & Internal Plaster Building Material should be identical ?
In this case, they are same , the only difference is Color.

As per attached image, How I can get rid of the boundary line of Complex Beam which is seen at the intersection of Waterproofing & Beam?

Thanks & Regards,
I meant that the External plaster of the Beam and the external (bottom) plaster of the Slab should be the same for them to blend nicely.
But it worked out fine as I see.

I suspect that line may come from the Wall above the Beam. Could you adjust the bottom of that Wall to the top of the Slab Core (the Slab on the right)?
Or maybe it is the Wall below the Beam? You can try adjusting its top to the bottom of the Slab Core (the Slab on the left).

Yes, those plaster are same as external plaster, I am keeping color for plaster fill different just to recognize it easily.

Wall is starting from top of the core of the slab.
To get rid of those lines , I just did as per attached image, just changed line type color for plaster of Complex beam & finally it worked.

As per your suggestion, adjustment to Slab can be done for Wall shown in Red Rectangle.

Thanks to all to their prompt reply.
Glad it worked out.
I would still adjust the top of Walls below this stepped down portion to the bottom of the Core of the Slab above them.
