We control this by having two layers, "Markers that show on plans" and "Markers that don't show on plans". In addition we sometime put millwork markers we want to see on enlarged plans on the labels layer for enlarged plans.

<T>I have created interior elevations but I do not want the markers to show on my floor plan. In the settings dialogue for the elevation I have it set as "No Marker" and it shows on the construction document as a dotted line. When I placed that same construction document on the layout, the triangular markers appear. How do I turn these off?

Screenshots attached in this post and in first reply.

The first screen show shows how it looks in the construction document.</T>

If you don't want anything to show put your marker reference lines on a layer that is turned off in your floor plan layer combination.
