topic Zones Glitch in Modeling

<T>So, I'm working along. All is going fine. I change my display options to show zone polygons and stamps. When done, I go back to display options to turn them both off. Strangely, I can only turn one of the options off--the other is greyed out. That is, If I hide zone stamps, the hide color option is greyed. If I hide color, the hide stamps is greyed.

It gets worse, though. If I choose a preset display option that hides them both, the fills I have used in plan get changed to some random pattern. (I have fills for floor tile patterns.) I've tried quitting the file, AC, and rebooting my computer, but the weirdness continues. Any suggestions?</T>

YIKES!

What are you using? AC8.1 I assume, but is it r1/v1 or r2/v2?

8.1v1+

I guess the greying out of either "hide color" or "hide stamp" is normal operation? I've never noticed it before, though I guess it could be rationalized that if the zones layer is turned on, you would want something zones-related displaying.

I also just figured out the problem with my fills changing. I was using a few of the standard tile fills that GS provides, along with a customized version that I had also rotated when placing in plan. These fills show fine if vector fills are chosen in display options, but if bitmap is selected, they all revert to a tiny orthogonal grid. I don't want my wall fills printing as vectors, so now what--the wish list?? I find it hard to believe that A) I never noticed this before, and B) This is normal operation for AC. Am I missing something basic here?
