Thanks,
I will try finding some other drivers. Apparently ArchiCad 7 doesn't have the secondary program/support that 8 has. I have bought 2 pdf 3rd party programs which claimed they worked with any program but I have yet to get either one to work.

<T>I know we are behind the curve here but our office is still on vs. 7. I cannot get ArchiCAD to save as a pdf or to print to pdf. Is there a work around? I am on a PC platform.</T>

I think the PDF driver appeared in AC 8. So with earlier versions you cannot use it simply by installing Archicad.
As far as I know there are free PDF printer drivers on the Internet.

I don't know what are the various PDF solutions, but Amyuni, the one Archicad uses since version 8 installs a standerd printer driver. So in Archicad you actually able to print using the PDF driver but the result will not be a paper coming out of a printer but a PDF file generated from the print information.
I guess if a PDF solution is done this way, it should work with all programs that can print.
