Hello Mark,
The object works fine in AC 10 (just tested it)
and I see no reason why it will not work in 11.
I can't be certain because I don't have AC 11.

<T>I need to determine the best approach to assembling detail sheets using live views of the model. I also need to start by keying larger areas on the plan which will be Isometric views of a chunk of building that will then be dimensioned, notated and keyed with more standard sectional details. Those details will reside on the sheet with the "parent" Isometric view.

I am unsure how to chain this together though. First off, the Isometric view I could Save View and Place on Layout. This allows for updating of the building to continue with the ISO views auto-refreshing along the way. However, I cannot notate or dimension this view as it goes straight from 3d window to Layout. Additionally, I need to have the secondary larger scale details keyed in the this 3d view as well.

So, is there an approach to use to maintain a live update of details as I move through DD Phase and allows for some notation and cross referencing back to my plans?</T>

Yes, 11.

I thought about the worksheets, but these need to be live. In reality, the 3d iso views should behave like a section window. allowing notes and dimensions. I realize this is not the point of workshets or the 3d window. But I wasn't sure if anyone had some ideas on the best way to do this. Right now, I am living with no notes and dims and will manually add anything to the layout window. This iwll require me to make custom dimension values.

What sort of documentations do you need in the 3D axo ?
Dimensions or just text with arrows like a sort of 3D label ?
Hello Richard,
Yes, I was thinking of the same thing.
I have this object but it does not have
editable hotspots. I haven't gotten around
to fixing that yet. I was also thinking about
the 3D text object as a way of inserting notes
in the 3D view but it would have to be added
to to show arrows something like the label tool.
Of course the third dimension object does not have
associative dimensions so if something changes
the object must be edited.
Mark,
Unfortunately, it is not an object that I have, so I can't say for sure. It sounds like Peter is a better source of information. However, I thought I read it worked with AC10. I haven't found too many objects, except for section markers and the like, that didn't work in AC11 if they worked in AC9.

Yes, it's much easier and better and, though this object was written
in AC 6.5, it works much better now with the expanded 3D pet pallet.
See attached
OK. I purchased and everything seems to work fine in Version 11
