topic Line tones not printing correctly in Documentation

<T>Hello all,

I am looking for some help. I am trying to plot/print a few things and I cannot seem to get the tones to come out correctly. When I plot something that is using a very light penweight/tone and another line right on the same plot is a dark penweight/tone. They plot out to the correct thickness but not to the correct tone. They are all solid dark black (I am choosing to plot with no color, I change it to black an white in my plot settings). This doesn't help me when I need to create a drawing that reads easily. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

Another one I have run into is when I use the fill tool, especially the 25% fill the background comes out solid black. So you can't see anything but a black box. I fixed the background to be transparent but it still comes out black. Is there something i'm missing?

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Lorne

PS-I have attached two files. One is a screen shot of what the penweights are. And one of a .pdf preview of the plot. Those fills should be the lightest penweight possible.</T>

Set to print in color and change the pen set of the drawing to produce the results you want. I have recommended against "All colors to black" for years since it is very limiting compared to using pen sets, and not really that much easier.
If it is the old (pre-AC10) 25% fill the problem is that it is a vector fill consisting of a pattern of dots. If the dot spacing is not more than the size or the pen then it will print solid black.

As far as the solid black fills, its a bug they supposedly know about, you can either change background to white (but it won't be transparent). Printing rather than plotting may help also.
