Create pdf with other than Amyuni . Is it possible?

Amyuni pdf printer does not do well with greek fonts.
Unfortunately it does a bad job
Can i assign a different printer to the auto pdf creation?

If i create a pdf document one by one, then i select the printer, BUT if i choose to publish then i think i dont control it. AC creates a ghost printer on program launch and destroys it on exit (if i am not wrong).

Does anyone know a solution to that problem?

Of course. Tried all possibilities.
I get errors on the pdf.

Actually most pdf printers dont cope well with greek encoding.
From those i tried only Jaws was perfect.

But the problem remains. I dont know how to force publisher to use that printer .

You can print to any printer - you just need to edit your page setup in publisher. And you can save your files as PDF's too.

I think i was not clear.

In AC9 there is an option to publish in pdf .
The publisher prints in a printer called "_temprorary Archicad publisher".
I dont see how i can change that. There is not such an option.

I know i can print all pages one by one using the printer i want BUT when i publish the program uses that default temproray printer.

Am I missing smthg?

There is a freeware PDF "printer" called CutePDF. Maybe this can work for you.
You set this up as a printer and it will then 'print' or create PDF files. Not too sure how well it works with multiple pages though, also it is PC not mac so if that is an issue...

The problem is not to print.
I can create pdfs from Archicad.

The problem is that publisher uses it OWN printer called "temprory Archicad printer" to print to pdf, and this is an Amyuni one.

So the question is if i can make Archicad use the printer I want to create pdf (cutepdf ,jaws pfs... whatever that is).

I have tried changing the printer driver of temprory printer (open the printers folder AFTER launching archicad and go to properties.. to driver entry) and picked another printer, hopping i could trick the monster. The result was just crashing Archicad. So that is definately NOT a solution.

Any Clues?? Any guesses?

Instead of using the publisher, try printing to the other pdf printer/utilities. The result of that is that PM does not have to handle the conversion to pdf thus avoiding the error.

Printing to another PDFwriter is obvious. But the original question still hasn't been answered..How can you - or - can you change the default printer that Publisher in PM uses???

Of course i can do that BUT i will not be able to create the pdf with the bookmarks the publisher makes.

You realize that you can publish choosing to print (and choose any pdf writer you desire) versus saving the files to PDFs which uses only the Amyuni driver (and often has problems). In publisher under "view set publishing properties" chose print and then under page setup select your printer driver. This will give you the bookmarks you are trying to achieve.

I guess not. I have to define the paper size for each plot. In the pdf publish this is not the case.

You are correct in that it will not "read" the paper size of each plot. I initially tried the new feature which allows you to save the files to PDF partly because it will auto detect the paper size, but ran into problems with sheets not being produced in the file (another new feature that does not work). If all the sheets are the same size for a set of drawings you plot, you can set them all up with a single page setup. As a standard practice I place all of the drawings to be published into a folder in publisher and select that folder to make all of my settings.

This feature i was talking about.
I guess that the temprory printer is hardcoded in AC9 but i asked in case some friend here or the AC Team nows how to replace the temprorary printer with my printer..

If the views are grouped in folders, the folders can be set to different paper sizes when printing.
