Those buttons actually do something?

I know from time to time this issue has been raised-to plot or to print. I did not think it really mattered until today. For the first time, we tried to "print" using our old Hp designjet 250. Since we only print black and white "line drawings" (construction documents), we set it to print in "draft mode". The drawings came out fine and the speed increase was incredible! From about 10 min./sheet to 2 1/2 min./sheet (24"X36"). Since there doesn't seem to be a way to change this setting for plotting, we will be PRINTING from now on!
Sorry, if everyone else knew this. It was a revelation to me.

Steve

I think plot quality is controlled by the panel on the HP plotter so you play with the setting there. From memory sending draft to an HP 210 had a significant drop in quality but on an HP 1055CM we use the draft setting for all our plots, experiment with your HP 250.
