It seems that Every Pen Set Ever Used Loads Automatically Every Time regardless of what project I open, or if I delete them. It is pretty messy. I've tried to delete them through the "Pens and Colors" dialogue, as well as the Attribute Manager, thinking that the .aat would be the one referenced each time I open. One thing I can think of is that I do change the title of my project periodically...but I would think that each iteration would refer to the most recent .aat, rather than revert to some previous version. What do you think?
Thanks--
John

I know that when you copy/paste from one file to another, Archicad brings in all the pen sets as well. I've never seen it reload them after I delete them, though.

My current project is AC10...but its geneaolgy very probably includes an AC9; at some point, out template was brought into AC10 from 9. I don't think the template I am working from was built from scratch in 10.

AC9 projects opened in AC10 created a LOT of Pen Sets, usually one for each set of pens used in the LBK file... which could be quite a few if they were not standardized.

My memory exactly, but the curious thing is that I have since deleted (repeatedly) the extra pen sets... I am wondering if somehow somewhere and earlier (read: ancient) .aat is being referenced for the pen sets?
I don't know where to check that.

We've been having this problem with Pen Sets as well as Complex Profiles -- keep purging them from the file and they continue to reappear. <S></S>Very<E></E> frustrating. This particular file is Teamworked, and team members have been instructed not to cut/paste from other files (although that's not to say it isn't happening). I have deleted the teamwork preference files, thinking that these might be the culprits, signed in with exclusive access, purged and sent/received -- the next day, <S></S>they're back<E></E>.

Something supernatural, anyway. The oddest thing is that many of the Pen Sets/Complex Profiles are foreign to me (like, did not originate in this office). For instance, many are from Andy's ACE Materials file, that I have had open from time-to-time, but have <S></S>never<E></E> cut/paste from and into this particular file <S></S>[I have created an office Materials Palette from the ACE file, however it is free of all non-standard attributes]<E></E>. Like Zobi's Pen Sets, I know the source of many of these attributes by the name; however, how they became associated with this file is a mystery.

On the next update I'll be sure to post with as few attributes as possible. I am almost beginning to enjoy the pain caused by working with the AM. If only the referenced texture files scaled properly in the AM, I would save a materials AAT only.
