move drawing inside window

I am getting up to speed with 11 after upgrading from 9.

When working with layouts in 9, I could place a drawing and re-size the window, then select the drawing and move around inside the drawing window. Seems in 11, I can only re-size the window. I would like to re-size the window and then re-position the drawing within that frame. Is there something I am missing, possibly a new technique?

Select your drawing on your layout, and with the select tool active click and drag within the drawing window. (Don't think it works with other tools)

Oops!
OK got it. Have to select and because my computer seems to run a tad slower with projects in both 11 and 9 open simultaneously, wait a fraction of a second, then select "move sub element" from the pet pallet.

all is good in 11
