missing inch mark in Publish to PDF ArchiCAD 13 and 14

We are having an issue where pdf files generated in Publisher with the built in converter are missing all the inch marks of certain fonts. In particular Tekton and Graphite.

Windows XP, office wide problem and confirmed by someone else we just hired who also has had this problem with these fonts.

This seems to be new in the last month but not sure exactly when.

Acrobat 9 works correctly but is soooooo slow compared to the built-in pdf maker we try and avoid it. It shouldn't take an hour to make a pdf of a 12 sheet set of plans.

Anyone know how to fix this or have this problem. I would also like to know if anyone knows how to get Acrobat 9 to work faster. I have tried removing all compression and it makes no difference.
