<T>Does anyone know how to keep two different layout book at the same file?
I would like to have one copy of layout book showing the past - Building Approval stage.
and I still can work on the same model for the next stage of layout book - say Contract Documentation. Or I have to save to the other files for different purpose layout book.
Unfortunately Graphisoft has put the clone feature in the wrong place. If we could clone layout subsets (or publishing sets), it would be much more useful than cloning viewsets. It would solve your problem.

Until that happens you can just copy the subset of the layout book by ctrl dragging a copy in your Navigator or by using the Copy Item>>> button in your Organizer (amongst other methods). Then you would select all the drawings in the Archive set via your Drawing Manager and break the link, so that they didn't update.

It's also common just to save a PDF of the project and use that as your archive. You won't have access to the model in it's archived state anymore, is all.

Cheers,
I'd recommend to duplicate the Master layout too, and direct the new (or old) set to the copy, otherwise I'd risk changing the set by changing the Master. I don't think it's possible to break the link btw master and sub-layouts.

You might also consider saving plans, etc. in the old PMK format, and placing THOSE on the layout sheets.

Doesn't look like it's there. 'Link Drawing to...', and 'Update Drawing(s)' are there, but not 'Break Link' or 'Delete Drawing'.

Will report it.
I WISH there were a way to only list active views in Drawing Manager. Make it easier to find the views to "break".
