I just tried will not work, that is an update command. What I need is a rebuild of many details at once originating from a de-linked section. Your intuition is correct it should work from the layout/drawing manager with a "rebuild from source command" this command is active only from a detail

<T>I have an unlinked section with many details from it generated with the detail tool. I placed them in layouts . Is there a way to have them automatically "rebuild from the view source". All I am able to do is select one by one the details from the Project Map and ask for "rebuild from view source"

I hope I am clear</T>

You should be able to do this in the Drawing Manager. I haven't tried it with your exact circumstances but I see no reason it shouldn't work.

Sorry, I didn't really think through the situation. Of course the update wouldn't force the drawings to rebuild from the model.

But you can use the "Rebuild all Drawing Sections" command followed by the drawing update. If you can't find this in your Work Environment you may need to add it. I suppose the drawings could also be set to update automatically to speed this up a bit. (I tend not to use the auto update to avoid unexpected and potentially embarrassing prints of work in progress.)

Of course if you don't want to rebuild all of them it's pretty quick to right click on the section name in the project map. This only works one by one but is pretty quick if the sections don't take to long to rebuild.
