Is there any means of opening or converting a .LAY Plotmaker file such that I can use the damned thing now that I've migrated to AC12 ?

Any help much appreciated: I'm praying that I do not need to re-install an older version of AC (if I can find it), and that there are no dongle problems should that be the only solution.....

(Apologies if this has been answered, but a search has not revealed an answer - and my 56k connection is exasperating...)
