<T>I used the "dimension opaque" in AC 13, but in new version there is a problem. The text opaque covers the line.

Can I adjust the distance or opaque offset ?

In Layout it looks like the line was broken.</T>

Yes, you are right, but...
In this case, there are no difference if I draw fill without outlines behind the numbers. Too much work

The opaque function is good, then working in front off background image ( using topographical image or so )

Maybe it is Graphisoft mistake ?
No answers = no way to solve this problem?
Is there a possibility to regulate the distance?

ordinary text tool have opaque regulation, it would help as working with dimensions too.

Now it looks like "wishes section", but it can't be there. Because there were no trouble in AC 13

I hope there is a solution.

I do not seem to have the same problem as you are having in AC 14. Attached shows dimension string with masking turned on and the lines are still visible.
We don't use Cyrillic fonts in Lithuania.
we prefer international version of AC.

I tried to start a new project with standard AC14 template settings.

You said "it does seem to be a bug in need of reporting", I think so too
Lately I have a lot of bother with it. All my projects coming from AC13 files now need a lot of corrections

I just tried with Arial as the text.
It seems the smaller the text size the more it overlaps the line.

Definitely different in 13.
There the box around the text rescales proportionally with the text.
In 14 it remains a set distance around the text regardless of the font size.

Yes, it happens when you have moved the text previously and for some reason it goes back... (still don't know why it goes back sometimes...

I got used to it and move the text again but it is super annoying... I would really love to have dims that I don't need to move again. I really wastes my time because unfortunately I do need to adjust the text for dims when they step on things and that happens very often.

Also the offset option brings the numbers too far by default so I need to adjust them too. It would be nice if you can set the default from the beginning

Ah, I see the problem.

I have never noticed it before, but I rarely need fills behind my text.

As soon as you move the text, the surrounding frame/fill increases in size.

I have no idea why it would need to do this - I say bug.

I have no solution other than to move your text slightly away from the dimension line rather than just horizontally.

In this case the Arial 2mm text is fine in the default location - fits inside the dimension lines just fine.

I had no need to move the '300' text at a scale of 1:50.

If you find this is not the case with you then maybe look at the placement method you are using for the dimensions.

Yes, I know all these options and I end up moving all text manually but it wastes my time tremendously.

I will like to vote for a wish for it to get fixed. I don't understand how the wishes work in the new forum

Also the placement method you are showing there, I struggle with the "offset" one, I use it often but it always too far. Can't we set the distance by default?
