topic Creating site plan using meshes in Documentation

<T>Does anyone actually use the meshes for an architectural site plan? Or are they typically more used for just site modelling in 3D views, sections, etc.?

I have spent so much time trying to understand the proper way to work with meshes as part of the finished site plan... I use them to model, I know how to create and manipulate ridges, and to SEO the building walls or the basement slabs to so that the sections appear clean, but I just don't get how to show a mesh with ridges and cover fills as part of the site plan. Do people do this?

If so, how do they

1 Get clean intersections in plan between existing topo lines (the dashed ridge lines from my existing mesh) and the new topo lines (the solid ridge lines from my new mesh)?

2 Get the user-defined ridge lines in my new mesh to show up, but not the overall boundary of the new mesh?

3 Know what elevation to set the user-defined ridges when they are creating the mesh so that they eventually show up properly as 1' solid line contours?

I'd love to not have to mask over with 2D stuff what I've spent a good deal of time modelling, but I just can't seem to figure it out... any thoughts?

Thanks
