topic Autotext in Documentation

<T>I am experiencing a problem with the auto text function. I added No. 52 – No. 60 to my list in the Project Info palette and placed my Autotext notes into ArchiCAD. After closing my file down and reopening it a few hours later I noticed that my notes using the autotext funtion for notes No. 52 through 60 were missing. The autotext box just has “####” shown in the notes place.

I am just wondering if there is a maximum amount of Autotexts that you can make in the project info palette. If there is ArchiCAD shouldn’t let you keep on making more if its not going to remember them.</T>

I only have around 40 items in the project info in my drawings and so can not confirm or deny a limit. However, it sounds as though you created an autotext item(s) but have not entered a values for those items in the Project info.

I believe that my autotext entries were not being saved because; I was working in a teamwork project without exclusive access. I tried signing in as team leader with excusive access and my new autotext notes were remembered by the .plp file.

Even thought I was team leader the first time my autotext messed up it all has to do with the exclusive access being checked. I still believe that this option to add new auto text notes should be grayed out and not even an option unless you sign in with exclusive access. It was very deceiving that I believed that the autotext was being saved and wasn’t.
