This is something that is an issue in our office.

It is surprising that a very common task used in producing construction documentation is totally ignored within ArchiCAD. Managing revisions on a large project can be challenging. Cadimage Revision Manager is the only solution I have seen to this, but even that is buggy and restrictive.

It seems that Graphisoft are pushing the boundaries in terms of BIM, but are neglecting simple functionality such as managing revisions and drawing issue, things that are an everyday occurence in an Architects Practice.

I'm unsure whether other design software has this kind of feature as my use of CAD is limited to ArchiCAD, but if Graphisoft want to stay ahead of the competition, simple features like this would surely help.

Stupid question, but when will graphisoft include revisions, revision management, drawing issue sheet, all the usual stuff that an Architects office is expected to produce as well as drawings.

Just a bit annoyed as we have just lost all CADimage revisions from a project, this is not the first time this has happened.

Are we really ready for BIM?

Well, I believe this has been wished before several times, so I am sure that Graphisoft is well aware of the need for this feature.
As far as actual implementation: only they know what their priorities in development are.
